The Erie County Bar Association is presenting a CLE program entitled Immigration Law and What You Need to Know in Your Practice Areas on April 30, 2024 from 12:00 PM-1:00 pm Eastern.

Erie County has a significant number of people who are not United States citizens. There are a variety of implications for immigrants in multiple areas of law, including family, business, and criminal law that you might not have previously considered. More employers are seeking non-citizen employees, families who have relocated to Erie County have unique issues based on their place of marriage and cultures, and a non-U.S. citizen can have serious consequences from encounters with the criminal justice system. We will highlight a variety of key legal issues in these areas and provide guidance for ensuring best practices when working with this diverse community.
