The Westmoreland County Bar Association is hosting a CLE presentation entitled Overview of Adoption in Pennsylvania on March 15, 2024 from 12:00 PM-1:00 PM Eastern, The program will be held in-person at the Westmoreland County Bar Association, 100 N Maple Ave., Greensburg PA 15601-2506. It will also be available virtually via Zoom.

This program will cover the basics of adoption law in Pennsylvania, including procedures required prior to the termination of parental rights; the processes by which termination of parental rights can be terminated and the bases for termination; adoption procedures and who can adopt.  Additionally, there will be a brief overview of related requirements such as complying with the Interstate Compact for Placement of Children and the Indian Child Welfare Act.
