The Derrick A Bell Community Clinic will be held on March 15, 2024. It will be held at the University of Pittsburgh Community Engagement Center, 622 N. Homewood Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15208.

This clinic is a project of the University of Pittsburgh Black Law Students Association in partnership with the Allegheny County Bar Association Homer S. Brown Division and the Pro Bono Center of the Allegheny County Bar Foundation.

Volunteer attorneys are needed to provide individuals with low income with a brief consultation on a variety of legal issues. All licensed attorneys are welcome to participate, but volunteers are particularly needed with experience in family law, wills and estates, criminal records clearing, landlord/tenant, real property, and consumer debt.

This clinic is named in honor of Dr. Derrick A. Bell, a Pittsburgh native and graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. Dr. Bell was a civil rights lawyer and professor who pioneered scholarship on the intersection of race and justice.
