The Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Public Utility Law Section has teamed up with the Pennsylvania Utility Law Project, the Office of Consumer Advocate, the Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network, and the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Pro Bono Office to offer a FREE CLE (1 ethics, .5 substantive credits) for utility lawyers across Pennsylvania who are interested in getting involved in pro bono utility work.

The program, Pro Bono for Utility Lawyers: Free Legal Answers – Utility and Energy Questions,  will be held on March 4, 2024 from 12:00 PM-1:30 PM Eastern.

This session will provide an overview of a new pro bono initiative – “Free Legal Answers – Utility and Energy Questions” – which is designed to utilize the expertise of utility law practitioners to help consumers get answers to their utility-related questions.

Join your utility bar colleagues for this interactive webinar to learn how you can participate in this new pro bono initiative, the ethics of pro bono services, and the resources you’ll need to fully engage.

The panelists will cover important issues, including how to navigate potential conflicts of interest, whether you’ll be covered for malpractice (spoiler alert: you will!), and how to earn additional free CLE credits by participating in the initiative!  We’ll have plenty of time to answer all your questions, so come prepared to engage!

  • David Keller Trevaskis, PBA Pro Bono Coordinator
