The August episode of the Advocacy Exchange, the Clearinghouse Community/Sargent Shriver National Center on Poverty Law monthly conversation with advocates advancing change, features Attorney Seth Lyons of Community Legal Services of Philadelphia discussing the different possible consequences of clearing criminal records for clients with various immigration statuses. The webcast will take place on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm Eastern.

On the other hand, for some immigrants, taking legal steps to clear the criminal record may be riskier than letting it stand. How should an attorney weigh these risks and rewards?
