The July episode of the Shriver Center's Advocacy Exchange, entitled Building a Strong Pro Bono Program of Retired Attorneys, is scheduled for Wednesday, July 19, 2017 from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm Eastern.

Wouldn’t it be great to have a reserve of pro bono attorneys who have flexible schedules, an eagerness to put in volunteer hours, and decades of legal experience? Where can an organization find this magical unicorn? The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland has put together just such a pro bono program by recruiting and supporting retired and late-career attorneys who want to give their time to legal aid clients.

The July episode of the Advocacy Exchange, the Shriver Center's monthly conversation with advocates advancing change will feature Ann Porath and Rachel Riemenschneider of the Volunteer Lawyers Program at the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland. They will tell us about how they built their successful “ACT 2” pro bono program for retired and late-career attorneys. The conversation will be streamed through YouTube Live, and we welcome your questions and comments during the broadcast.

Have questions for Ann and Rachel, or about the Advocacy Exchange? Feel free to share them with Amanda Moore or use the YouTube chat box during the live program.
