The Practising Law Institute is offering a free webcast entitled Trump Administration Travel Ban and Bona Fide Relationships: The Supreme Court Speaks on July 12 2017 from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm.

On June 26, 2017, the Supreme Court’s 13 page per curiam order temporarily allowed portions of President Trump’s temporary travel ban to take effect on June 29.  However, travelers with a "credible claim of a bona fide relationship with a person or entity in the United States" will be allowed to enter the U.S.

Please join expert faculty as they address:

  • What qualifies as a "bona fide" relationship to the U.S.?
  • Will the individual seeking entry or the government have to provide the proof about the bona fides?
  • Potential litigation arising from implementation of the order and advocacy strategies
  • How can immigration attorneys and pro bono volunteers help people affected by the ban.
