The Philadelphia Bar Foundation Award celebrates a public interest attorney who has committed their life’s work to serving the most vulnerable through nonprofit legal services and recognizes exceptional leadership, unwavering dedication, and profound impact in advancing justice for all. It is accompanied by a $2,500 prize, underscoring the Foundation’s deep appreciation for those who tirelessly advocate for civil legal aid in Philadelphia.

The Pro Bono Award of the Philadelphia Bar Foundation is presented to a Philadelphia law firm or corporate legal department that exemplifies outstanding commitment to pro bono legal services, demonstrating leadership, innovation, and an unwavering dedication to the underserved. This award shines a spotlight on the powerful impact of pro bono work—a cornerstone of the legal profession. It acknowledges those who not only provide crucial legal aid but also pioneer innovative approaches, ensuring that justice is not a privilege, but a right for all.

Please submit your nominations for outstanding Philadelphia public interest attorneys and/or law firms or legal departments that deserve recognition for their extraordinary pro bono services.

Nominations are due by 5:00 PM on Friday, May 15, 2026.
