Volunteers Needed for Wills for Heroes Month Event in Harrisburg - August 23

The Wills For Heroes program is seeking volunteers for its 1st Annual PBA WFH Wills Month Event, which will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Mt Laurel Church of God, 1295 Piketown Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17112.
Wills for Heroes (WFH) is a program under the auspices of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Young Lawyers Division, with the support of the PBA Pro Bono Office. The program sponsors events throughout the year providing free basic estate planning for first responders (does not include administrative or auxiliary personnel) and military veterans and their spouses
This event will mark the start of large Annual Events which will be held at various locations around Pennsylvania during each August for Wills Month. The program's goal is to have at least 20 attorney stations available to assist eligible first responders and military personnel and their families.
Volunteer opportunities are also available for the event for Notaries and Witnesses/Others that are needed to complete the process of preparing and executing documents for eligible clients.

8:45 AM-5:00 PM
Attorneys:
- Please arrive no later than 8:45 AM. Breakfast will be available for you starting at 8:30 AM.
- Training: 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. 2.0 CLE credits – 1.0 ethics and 1.0 substantive. Attorneys must attend the entire training to receive the ethics credit and must volunteer for the event to receive the CLE credits.
- Appointments: 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM – The last appointments will be scheduled at 3:00 PM to finish up approximately 5:00 PM
- You will also receive 1.0 substantive credit if you provide 5 hours of client services that day
Notaries and Witnesses:
- Report time, 11:15 AM – notaries and witnesses to finish up approximately 5:00/5:30 PM.
