Pro Bono Estate Planning Clinic — Volunteers Needed

Together with the Allegheny County Bar Foundation (ACBF), Duquesne University Kline School of Law Tribone Center for Clinical Education and LIFE Pittsburgh, the Pennsylvania Bar Association Real Property, Probate and Trust Law (RPPT) Section is participating in a virtual pro bono clinic for low-income clients on September 29, 2023 beginning at 9:00 AM Eastern.

Volunteer attorneys will partner with Duquesne Kline Law students to draft simple advance planning documents, focused on health care and financial decision-making, in the event of incapacity or medical disability. Consider joining your colleagues for this event. 

No experience drafting estate planning documents? Don’t worry! We’ve got you covered. Training will be
provided on the day of the event. Each volunteer attorney will be partnered with a law student to meet with
clients and draft documents for them. Volunteers will be participating virtually via Zoom. Template forms will be provided. Duquesne Kline Law School staff and RPPT estate and trust practitioners will be available as a resource to answer questions and assist as needed. 

The format is as follows; you may participate in one or both client sessions:

  • 9:00 AM- 9:45 AM: Training
  • 10:00 AM: Client Session
  • 12:30 PM:  Client Session

The deadline to register to participate is Tuesday, September 26, 2023.

The Pro Bono Center of the Allegheny County Bar Foundation (ACBF) sponsors and supports delivery of
