Penn Mock Trial Seeking Volunteer Judges for Benjamin Franklin Invitational Mock Trial Tournament

The University of Pennsylvania Mock Trial Team is seeking volunteers to judge at the Benjamin Franklin Invitational (BFI) Mock Trial Tournament on January 21-22, 2023. The tournament will include some of the best high school mock trial teams from across the Pennsylvania area.

Qualified and interested volunteers are needed to judge the competition with around 50 judges needed for each round of the competition. There will be four rounds in total . Each day, there will be one round in the morning and one in the evening. Each round is expected to require about a three to four hour time commitment, including the judge’s meeting and full trial. The rounds will happen within the following tentative time frames:

Round 1: Saturday, January 21 from 9:30am to 1:30pm
Round 2 : Saturday, January 21 from 2:30pm to 6:30pm
Round 3: Sunday, January 22 from 9:30 to 1:30pm
Round 4: Sunday, January 22 from 2:30pm to 6:30pm

Breakfast and lunch will be provided to volunteers. Volunteers will be ontacted closer to the tournament date to confirm your availability and provide additional information.
