This is a hybrid presentation that 
 may be attended in person at Lancaster Bar Associa
 tion, 28 East Orange Street, Lancaster, PA 17602 o
 r virtually on Zoom. Zoom login information will b
 e sent to registered attendees either the day befo
 re the program or the morning of the event.   


 Lancaster County has an ongoing need for attorneys
  to serve as court-appointed parents’ counsel in d
 ependency proceedings. This introductory CLE is de
 signed for attorneys interested in expanding their
  practice, gaining courtroom experience, and servi
 ng families in the community.   

Using a case s
 tudy based on an actual Lancaster County dependenc
 y matter, presenters will guide participants throu
 gh the life of a case, from shelter care and adjud
 ication through permanency planning and resolution
 . The program will highlight the role of parents’ 
 counsel in advising clients, advocating for reunif
 ication, addressing barriers to the family service
  plan, and navigating alternative permanency optio
 ns.   

Participants will gain a practical under
 standing of dependency proceedings in Lancaster Co
 unty and the responsibilities and opportunities as
 sociated with serving as court-appointed parents’ 
 counsel.
