SUMMARY:Wills for Heroes Event (Allegheny County)
LOCATION:Veterans Breakfast Club
DESCRIPTION:The Young Lawyers Division of the Allegheny Co
unty Bar Association is hosting a Wills For Heroe
 s event (https://www.pabar.org/pdf/2026/071126%2
 0WFH%20Allegheny%20Flyer.pdf) on July 11, 2026 fro
m 8:30 AM-12:30 PM Eastern. The event will be held
at the Veterans Breakfast Club, 5850 Centre Avenu
 e, Pittsburgh, PA 15206.

Wills for Heroes pr
ovides free basic estate planning documents to fir
st responders and military veterans in Pennsylvani
 a. Wills for Heroes provides police, fire, emergen
cy medical personnel, other first responders and m
ilitary veterans - those on the frontlines for our
personal safety - the tools they need to prepare
adequately for the future. Programs are staffed by
lawyer volunteers and are conveniently offered to
first responders at meeting halls and police and
 fire stations.

Lawyer volunteers at these ev
ents use laptop computers loaded with a software p
rogram designed specifically for Wills for Heroes.
Using this technology allows lawyers from all spe
cialties to participate in the program.

Duri
ng the events, each participant meets with a volun
teer who inputs information from the questionnaire
into the software. A lawyer volunteer reviews the
draft estate planning documents with the first re
sponder to make sure he or she understands and agr
ees to the plan. The documents are then finalized,
signed, witnessed and notarized at the event so t
 hey are effective immediately.

The event is
for all active and retired Pennsylvania First Resp
onders and Military Veterans, and their spouses/si
 gnificant others.
