 edure-and-practical-tips/563412) on Wednesday, Ma
 y 13, 2026 from 12:30 PM-1:30 PM Eastern.

Th
is Pennsylvania CLE offers a practical overview of
Unemployment Compensation law and practice, with
a focus on representing workers and claimants. The
session walks through the basics of UC eligibilit
y, common separation issues, and what to expect pr
ocedurally—from filing a claim through appeals and
  hearings before the Referee.

Attendees will
gain a practical understanding of key eligibility
concepts such as willful misconduct, voluntary qu
it, and availability for work, as well as burden o
f proof and evidentiary considerations unique to U
C proceedings. The program also offers practical t
ips for preparing cases, presenting evidence, exam
ining witnesses, and preserving issues for appeal,
  drawing on real-world hearing experience.

T
his session is designed for attorneys new to unemp
loyment compensation practice, as well as experien
ced practitioners seeking a refresher on UC fundam
entals and practical strategies for success. The g
oal is to help advocates feel comfortable navigati
ng the UC system and advocating effectively for cl
 ients.

NPLS Distance Learning CLEs are offer
ed free to attorneys who volunteer with North Penn
Legal Services. Here’s a link if you want to volu
