  of applicants each year, many of whom are in cris
 is and coping with poverty, housing instability or
  homelessness, or domestic violence or other traum
 a. Human traffickers take advantage of people who 
 are vulnerable, and we should have a basic working
  knowledge of how a trafficking victim might prese
 nt to us. Unfortunately, the public perception of 
 human trafficking is often very different from the
  reality. This training will provide an overview o
 f human trafficking and what it may actually look 
 like, its occurrence in our area, indications that
  someone may be a victim, and resources that can p
 rovide help.

Korrin Moon is President and Founder of Lantern 
 Rescue, a non-profit organization that focusing on
  capacity building of locals to increase their abi
 lities to rescue fellow citizens from human traffi
 cking. Lantern Rescue operates in 13 countries and
  has rescued over 2,000 victims since its founding
  in 2020. Korrin is also currently assigned as a s
 pecial prosecutor in the Lycoming County District 
 Attorney’s office, focusing on crimes of human tra
 fficking and CSAM. Korrin served in the Marine Cor
 ps as a Russian Cryptologic Linguist after receivi
 ng her bachelor’s degree in political science from
  Lycoming College. Korrin attended law school at P
 enn State.
