The Allegheny County Bar Association Women in the Law Division is presenting a virtual program entitled Pro Bono and Professional Responsibility on September 9, 2026 from 12:00 PM-1:00 PM Eastern.
This session focuses on pro bono and professional responsibility, providing a practical overview of attorneys’ ethical obligations, opportunities for community engagement and strategies for integrating pro bono work into a successful legal practice.
Participants will explore the professional responsibility principles that govern lawyer conduct, including competence, communication, confidentiality, conflicts of interest and duties to clients, courts and the profession. The program will also highlight the benefits and impact of pro bono representation, available resources for attorneys seeking opportunities and best practices for managing pro bono matters ethically and efficiently.
Designed for attorneys seeking immediately applicable guidance, this program offers both foundational instruction and practical insights to strengthen ethical decision-making, professional judgment and meaningful service to the community.
This session is part of the WLD’s “Practice Ready” CLE series designed to equip attorneys with practical, skills-based training to enhance everyday lawyering and courtroom effectiveness. All attorneys – WLD or otherwise – are invited to attend any of the CLEs; no prerequisites are required to attend any in this series, and you don’t have to register for future installments.
