Berks County Bar Association is hosting a virtual program entitled Powerful Tools Bankruptcy Lawyers Frequently Overlook on July 15, 2026 from 12:00 PM-1:00 PM Eastern on Zoom.

The Hon. Patricia M. Mayer, Bankruptcy Judge for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, will review practical litigation and bankruptcy strategies, including request for admission to challenge proofs of claim and making effective evidentiary objections involving hearsay and foundation issues.

Key bankruptcy motions, such as landlord requests to confirm the absence of a stay under Section 362(L) and procedures for declaring liens satisfied under Fed.R.Bankr.P 5009(D) when secured claims are paid in full will be discussed.
