This program is designed to train legal aid, nonprofit, and pro bono attorneys and allied professionals about substance use disorders impacting clients or family members of clients. Expert faculty will provide an overview of latest developments and the science of substance use disorder and recovery and will also discuss key topics such as addressing discrimination and other barriers, effective practices for advocating for those with substance use disorder, and ethical obligations of attorneys helping clients.
