Allegheny Ccunty Bar Association logoThe Allegheny County Bar Association Arts and the Law Committee is presenting a program entitled An Introduction to Volunteer Attorneys for the Arts on June 3, 3036 from 4:00 PM=5:00 PM Eastern at the Koppers Building, E.P. Mellon Room, 436 Seventh Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15219

Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts is a joint program of the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council and the ACBA Arts and the Law Committee that helps match artists and arts organizations in need of legal services with volunteer attorneys.

This training session, offered in conjunction with the ACBF Pro Bono Center, will train those volunteer attorneys looking to help arts organizations in need. It will cover common legal issues artists in the Pittsburgh community face, and resources available to help the volunteer lawyers who want to help. The course also will cover how lawyers are matched with artists and arts organizations in need.

Additionally, the course will cover best practices for dealing with the needs of artists and arts organizations, along with reporting and recordkeeping requirements to maintain malpractice insurance through the ACBF Pro Bono Program.

Lights snacks and beverages will be available.
