Practising Law Institute is offering a virtual one-hour program entitled Innovating Into the Future: The Next Chapter of Pro Bono on December 11, 1015 from 2:00 PM-2:00 PM Eastern.
Pro bono is always adapting to meet urgent needs. Addressing access to justice calls for innovation and expansion of pro bono across many dimensions, including who does pro bono work, what types of pro bono services are offered, where pro bono is growing, and why it matters. Attendees of this special Pro Bono Institute/Practising Law Institute briefing will learn about the new tools, initiatives, and ideas for pro bono engagement, inspiring hope for the upcoming year and beyond.
What You Will Learn
At this lively roundtable discussion, some of the topics our faculty will discuss include:
- The geographic expansion of pro bono to underserved markets in the U.S. and globally (15 minutes)
- The demand for pro bono lawyers with transactional skills and opportunities for engagement (15 minutes)
- Emerging trends and necessary guardrails at the intersection of AI and access to justice (15 minutes)
- What direction will pro bono take in the year ahead? (15 minutes)
Who Should Attend:
All attorneys, including pro bono and legal services providers interested in learning more about the future of pro bono and access to justice
Registration: $25.00
Full scholarships and discounts to attend PLI programs are widely available to attorneys working in nonprofit/legal services organizations; pro bono attorneys; government attorneys; judges and judicial law clerks; law professors and law students; senior attorneys (age 65 and over); law librarians and paralegals who work for nonprofit/legal services organizations; unemployed attorneys; and others with financial hardships.
