The Support Center for Child Advocates (SCCA) is hosting Change the Story: An Evening for Child Advocacy on Thursday April 24, 2025 at the Crystal Tea Room, The Wanamaker Building, 100 Penn Square East, Philadelphia, PA.

Join SCCA to acknowledge the extraordinary efforts of those devoted to their mission and to changing the story for children and families.

Deborah F. Cohen, Esq. will be recognized with the 2025 Judge Lois G. Forer Child Advocacy Award. Debbie and her husband, Rob, have been ardent supporters of Child Advocates for many years. Debbie exemplifies a passion for child advocacy through a decade of service on Child Advocates’ Board of Directors, with multiple terms as Board President, and service as a volunteer attorney for 18 young clients since 1987. She has also served as Vice Chairman of the Board for The Food Trust and Board President for Cradles To Crayons.

SCCA is deeply grateful to Debbie for her longstanding commitment to its work and her steadfast support of youth development and legal aid organizations in Philadelphia.

SCCA will also celebrate the journeys of Santia S. and Nathan Riley as this year’s Andi Broad Distinguished Clients, and recognize all of their 2025 Distinguished Advocates for Children.
