Experienced faculty will examine problem-solving strategies for addressing common issues that arise in children’s cases.

What You Will Learn

After completing this program, participants will be able to:

  • Identify essential elements for building a successful asylum case on behalf of a child
  • Handle Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) representation and special issues and problem-solving
  • Understand what ethics rules require in representing a child client
Who Should Attend

This program will offer more advanced SIJS and asylum strategies for anyone currently representing immigrant children, as well as discussion of foundational rules on ethics. Familiarity with basic parameters for SIJS and asylum will be helpful for those newer to the practice area.
