Support Center for Child Advocates logoThe Support Center for Child Advocates is holding a two-part virtual training program entitled How to Handle a Child Abuse Case on February 23 and 24, 2021 from 8:30 AM-1:00 PM. This two-part training is for those interested in taking cases as a Volunteer Attorney with the Support Center for Child Advocates. 

All participants must attend both sessions. If you are not available for both sessions, please look out for more information about a future training.

All participants must join the training on a device (computer, tablet, smartphone) with a working webcam. Chatting with new Volunteer Attorneys is one of our favorite parts of the training! To recreate this experience, cameras must be on during each training session.

This training is the first step in becoming a Child Advocates Volunteer Attorney and new Volunteers must complete and submit all necessary clearances. INFORMATION ON CLEARANCES.

This course is intended only for those interested in becoming Child Advocates Volunteer Attorneys. It is not for those interested in receiving paid Dependent Court appointments. If you are interested in receiving paid Dependent Court appointments, please look out for more information about a future training.

Cost*:
  • $90 for new Child Advocates Volunteer Attorneys;
  • $120 for General Registration,
  • FREE for current Child Advocates Volunteer Attorneys.

*fees are nonrefundable and cover both sessions.

  • CLE Credit Comments:

    Course Eligible for 8.0 CLE Credits (6.0 Substantive/2 Ethics).

    Attendance at this event is categorized as "distance learning" by the PA CLE Board. Effective January 1, 2021 through December 31, 2021 the CLE Board has adopted a temporary policy to recognize live online programming by accredited distance learning providers as live (non-capped) credit towards lawyers' CLE requirement.
