The Practising Law Institute is offering a One-Hour Briefing via webcast entitled LSC Pro Bono Innovation Fund: Meeting Challenges Through Creative Pro Bono Partnerships on December 17, 2019 from 1:00 PM-2:00 PM.

Register now to hear how four legal services organizations receiving Legal Services Corporation Pro Bono Innovation Grants plan to expand pro bono legal services for low-income clients, how their funded projects will address challenges in current pro bono delivery systems, and how to replicate similar solutions to meet the civil legal needs of low-income individuals in your communities.

Expert faculty will discuss:

  • Adam Heintz, Legal Services NYC:  Litigating housing conditions cases through an efficient “study group” model with law firms and corporations.
  • Maggie Niebler-Brown, Legal Action of Wisconsin:  Onsite pro bono at technical and community colleges to improve educational and employment outcomes for low-income students.
  • Peter Hoffman, Legal Services of Eastern Missouri:  Creating a community-driven pro bono ecosystem to address urban blight.
  • Tallulah Knopp, Volunteer Lawyers Project of the Boston Bar Association:  Court-based pro bono collaboration with legal aid, the state attorney general, and community based organizations to promote economic fairness for low-income consumers and workers.
