Robert Sachs is Philadlephia VIP Volunteer of the Month

Friday, May 07, 2010

Robert L. Sachs, Jr. This month Philadelphia VIP recognizes Robert Sachs, Esq., of Shrager, Sprivey & Sachs, for his outstanding volunteer assistance to VIP clients.

Since 2005, Rob has helped numerous VIP clients obtain favorable outcomes in collection defense matters. Rob, along with associate Charles Galvin, is an expert in trying cases against nursing homes for neglect. Those skills help Rob to successfully defend VIP clients in collection cases. Rob and Chad have an impressive record of VIP wins.

In a recent case, Rob represented a client who is disabled and lives on limited Social Security benefits. The nursing home of his deceased mother filed suit against him for over $9,000.

The nursing home staff misrepresented the document he signed for his mother’s admission and the implications of signing. Through Rob’s staunch advocacy, the case was discontinued.

In another matter, Rob represented an eighty-year-old client who suffers from arthritis and multiple sclerosis. The client was hospitalized and later discharged to a rehabilitation center. She believed that her insurance was providing continuous coverage until she received a bill for her stay at the facility.

The nursing home sued VIP’s client for months of retroactive charges but did not communicate to the client that the insurance coverage had been dropped. With Rob’s help, the case against her was discontinued.

Because of Rob’s legal expertise and persistence against nursing homes, VIP clients avoid judgments for thousands of dollars and maintain what little family income they have to care for themselves or their disabled loved ones.

For his commitment and dedication to its clients, Philadelphia VIP offers its heartfelt appreciation to Robert Sachs.
