Volunteers Needed for Wills for Heroes Events in Bucks, Montgomery Counties
Wednesday, January 27, 2010
- Organization: Pennsylvania Bar Association
The Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Wills for Heroes Foundation are hosting upcoming events in Bucks and Montgomery counties. At these events, free wills and powers of attorney are prepared for police officers, firefighters and other first responders who risk their lives every day to make sure our communities are safe.
Up to 20 lawyers and at least two notaries (who are not required to be lawyers) are needed for each event. Volunteers do not have to practice trust and estate law.
A mini-course will be given the morning of each event to familiarize volunteers with what they need to know and several lawyers well-versed in estate planning will be available to answer questions that may arise.
There are currently three events scheduled for the following dates and locations:
- Feb. 20: Pennsylvania State Police Troop M, 3501 Neshaminy Blvd., Bensalem
- Feb. 27: Bristol Township Police Station, 2501 Bath Rd., Bristol
- March 6: Second Alarmer's Rescue Squad, 307 Davisville Rd., Willow Grove
