Henry M. Clinton, Esq.This month Philadelphia VIP recognizes Henry M. Clinton, a Member at Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott, LLC, for his outstanding volunteer assistance to VIP clients.

Hank began volunteering at VIP in 1992 and has since helped numerous VIP clients. Hank has used his vast real estate expertise to help VIP’s homeownership clients, acting as a volunteer attorney on roughly 20 VIP cases.

Hank has also shared this extensive real estate knowledge with VIP staff members and volunteer attorneys by making himself available as a mentor on dozens of other VIP cases.

Furthermore, Hank generously served 5 years on the Tangled Title Fund’s Advisory Committee, which ensures that low-income homeownership clients are provided with certain costs of transferring title on a fair and consistent basis. The committee meets ten times a year.

Hank is now representing a client who purchased her home 12 years ago, paying off significant back taxes during that time; however, the record owner failed to transfer legal title to the client.

Because of his dedication to VIP, acting as volunteer, mentor, and committee member, Hank has impacted many Philadelphia neighborhoods by helping provide a secure home for VIP clients and their families.

For his commitment and dedication to its homeownership clients, Philadelphia VIP offers its heartfelt appreciation to Henry M. Clinton and recognizes him as it Volunteer of the Month for February 2010.
