This month Philadelphia VIP recognizes Craig Gottlieb, Senior Attorney at the City of Philadelphia Law Department, for his outstanding volunteer assistance to VIP clients.
Craig has volunteered with Philadelphia VIP since 1996. In more than a decade of service, Craig has represented VIP clients in Social Security appeals, family law cases, and probate matters. Craig’s response to VIP calls and emails often includes an offer to assist wherever the need for representation most arises.
In the past five years, VIP has come to depend on Craig for training and mentoring of new attorneys on name change cases. In 2005, Craig wrote VIP's first name change training manual and has since updated it. Craig has represented 8 clients in name change cases, enabling them to obtain valid identification and, as a result, acquire much needed employment or benefits.
Due to his experience and diligence, Craig continuously offers statutory and procedural guidance to VIP attorneys new to name change cases, thereby increasing the number of clients served. In 2008, Craig was one of the presenters for VIP's name change training.
Without Craig’s mentoring and commitment to VIP, the agency would not be able to assist its many clients with their most personal and legal needs.
For his long-term commitment and dedication to VIP clients, Philadelphia VIP offers its heartfelt appreciation to Craig Gottlieb.
