Brave New World: Changing Rules and Changing Landscapes in Public Interest Law

The Philadelphia office of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute is pleased to cosponsor this program with the Delivery of Legal Services Committee of the Public Interest Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association on December 11, 2013 from 9:00 am - 4:30 pm at The CLE Conference Center, Wanamaker Bldg (now Macy's), 10th Floor, Ste. 1010, Philadelphia, PA.

Hear what public interest attorneys need to know changing rules and changing landscapes in public interest law

  • Consider how changes in school discipline, public benefits, unemployment compensation and family law may affect advocating for the disadvantaged
  • Evaluate how the Affordable Care Act and health care reform has affected legal aid programs and client eligibility
  • Determine how to advocate for sexual assault and domestic violence survivors dealing with housing, immigration, employment and family law
  • Receive an update on the most recent U.S. Supreme Court Cases affecting the Public Interest Community
